We knew this disaster was coming eventually. Geophysicists have long monitored how fast the Earth's plates are moving, and we know that the entire subcontinent of India is being driven slowly but surely underneath Nepal and Tibet at a speed of around 1.8 inches per year. It's the reason Everest exists.

This is what happened in 2004 tsunami. Scientists knew about it; they predicted it. In fact, on 2004 Christmas day, NOAA scientists got the warning about the disaster. But those scientists didn't know how to communicate their message. Those days, social network was not popular; but could have called American Consulate in Chennai and informed them; they would have alerted the Tamilnadu government.

It is so sad. In this period of time, scientists isolate themselves from the rest of the society and continue with their research activities. Like those monks go into forest; isolate themselves and continue with their meditation. All these self-centered actions for their peace of mind.

In that way, they don't harm others; but their actions are of no help to the society.

You cannot just blame scientists; political leaders are responsible for taking decision.

Scientists could not reach Political Leaders. There are only a few exceptions. Albert Einstein could meet with Franklin D. Roosevelt. John F. Kennedy used to meet with space scientists.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee brought Abdul Kalam into political leadership.

Right now, all political leaders seek advice mainly from Security experts for internal and external security. Then they seek help from business management experts and economic advisers. There are no scientists in high office.

Recently, Obama brought Doctor General into his administration.

In this time period, government has to work closely with scientists. Technologists cannot be considered as scientists. Science is the fundamental; technology could take science to a higher level. Certainly science cannot be replace with technology.

Earth quake; agriculture; flood; Ganga cleaning; drought; polio; all needs lot of scientists. It's time scientists and government come closer and work together to meet current day challenges.

So, next time; it is a warning to scientists. If you could open your mouth and share your views with the rest of the world; and save people from disaster; then you would be considered as god.

If you cannot make that announcement in time; then keep your mouth shut.

Rare enactment: Private member's Bill In a rare action, a private member’s Bill protecting and providing rights for transgenders was passed by the Rajya Sabha on Friday. The Bill also guarantees reservation in education and jobs, financial aid and social inclusion. This is the first time in 45 years that a private members' Bill has been passed by the House.

The Rights of Transgender Persons Bill, 2014, paves the way for a law on the matter in the near future. The government assured the House that it would bring an updated Bill in the Lok Sabha. Sources later told The Hindu that while the government “accepts the spirit and sentiment of the Bill, it has infirmities that need to be removed.” 

The government had initially asked Tiruchi Siva to withdraw his Bill but he refused to relent. “The government tried to explain that there are some anomalies in the Bill that need further work, but the Opposition that has a majority in the House [Rajya Sabha] did not accept the government's assurance of bringing in some more provisions in the Bill. There is a need for more inter-ministerial consultation,” said an official of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry. “The issue is also in the Supreme Court, so we cannot say much,” he added.

Arvind Kejriwal is Guilty

Arvind Kejriwal is guilty.

Let it be Arvind Kejriwal or Anna Hazare or any other leader; you are responsible; and you are accountable.

When you call for a rally; it is your responsibility to make sure the safety of the people gathered.

Calling for a rally; protest; procession; civil disobedience; demonstration; civil resistance; non-violent demonstration; let it be anything; you are responsible; and you are accountable for any mishap.

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution specifically allows peaceful demonstrations and the freedom of assembly as part of a measure to facilitate the redress of such grievances. 

"Amendment I: Congress shall make no law ... abridging ... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Demonstration; right to assemble are your fundamental rights. But it is your responsibility to keep the people safe. Government cannot provide you the police; fire security; ambulance for all your activities. People tax money cannot be wasted for your damasha. 

If you think you are a mass leader; then have enough volunteer to maintain the crowd. Or hire private security forces for providing safety. Or pay money to the government and ask for police security.

If you cannot guarantee safe assembly for your people, then just stay back at your home. 

This death cannot be considered as a suicide; or farmer's grievances. For this incident, Arvind Kejriwal is totally and completely accountable.

When you call for a rally; there are chances, people may die because of so many reasons; stampede; accidents when they travel for the rally. In this case, this person committed suicide; what would have happened, if this person kill several others and then commit suicide.

In today's world, human beings are unpredictable. Most of the human beings have mental health problems. A person with mental health issue could do two things; one is suicide; another is mass killing. So, don't play with human beings; they are most dangerous.

The Pakistan photographer took risk and captured the picture of a lion. That is predictable and you could take action to protect yourself. But you cannot apply the same logic for human beings of this period. 

Today human beings are not heroes like Raj Kapoor; they are not villains like Pran; they look like innocent; but their actions are dangerous. Even in today's movies, there are no heroes with high moral characters; no villains with low moral characters; all are unpredictable.

This film takes the viewers through several scenes that set a strong moral lesson that through hard work, dedication and concentration a person can accomplish anything. Also this film explains that if people focus their energy on a worthy cause, success is guaranteed.

That doesn't work in this time period. There are no two eyes; there are no 12 hands. All are fake and their actions are unpredictable. It is the most dangerous world; not real; not false; but fake.

Twitter is the Parliament

Take a look at the events:

Giriraj Singh Union Minister Giriraj Singh apologized in the Parliament on Monday for his remarks on Congress president Sonia Gandhi earlier this month.

Rahul calls NDA govt. ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’ Rahul called the government ‘Achhe Din government’ and a government of industrialists. The atmosphere in the House was charged despite low attendance with MPs from both the Opposition and the Treasury Benches frequently disrupting the discussion overlooking requests from Deputy Speaker M. Thambi Durai and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu.

Mr. Naidu defended his government and hit back at the Congress vice-president. “We have not seen this kind of responsiveness in the over 40 years when Congress was in power,” he said.

Taking a dig at the enthusiasm among the Congress MPs, he said: “You cannot see beyond one person and one family. This is a government not for one but everyone.”

Twitter is the Parliament. Only for India; other countries still maintain their Legislative Branch effectively. Only in India, the Parliament has downgraded to a very low level; most of the days, it is closed. When it opens, People's Representatives are absent; very few attends the Parliament regularly.

So, responsible citizens of India have discussion in Twitter continuously. Twitter is open for 365 days on 24 by 7. 

Recently Indian citizens had a debate on French air-craft on Twitter. Indian government announced about its decision to buy Rafale fighter planes from France. Indian government didn't announce it in the Parliament; but they did it on Twitter.

Then immediately the serious and responsible citizens started having debate on Twitter about government decision. Indian government started giving details to its citizens on Twitter. 

Indian government said; we cancelled the previous purchase order for 166 plus aircraft. This is a new deal; and it is not between company to company; it is government to government. That means, it is a deal between Indian government and French government.

Not sure about French; but that doesn't work in United States. You cannot cancel an order with Microsoft and get into a new order between Indian and United States government. It is a violation of fundamental rights of business enterprises.

It is so surprising; leave our MPs; they don't ask many questions. But, our citizens; that too, politically active citizens of India, just take government statement without understanding the truth.

That is because, they always look at any problem or opportunities with either this party lens or other party lens. Citizens don't look at any problem from India perspective.

Cancel the previous order; that is good from BJP perspective. Government to government deal; all felt that they got the truth of the whole problem.

When you cancel any order, what are the clauses? Even for a motorcycle, there are so many clauses. How much advance India have paid to the French company for these orders. Do they return entire money or no refund at all? Does the French Parliament approve of the government to government deal? Who will be responsible for delivery date? When India have issues with these air-craft, do we approach French parliament or French court for litigation.

In democracy, we conduct elections and We, the People of India vote and elect our representatives to ask all these questions and participate in the debate in the parliament. 

Look at United States Congress. The discussion starts from the Legislative Branch; not on Twitter. It may continue on Twitter after April 30th; but, the legislators present the report on April 30 in United States Congress.

Apologizing in the parliament is an insult to that individual; Giriraj Singh is deeply hurt. It will reflect on Bihar election. In Delhi, Harshvardhan was hurt; they did take revenge. Now, in Bihar, Giriraj Singh may ask his supporters to vote for anybody; even to Sonia; but not to BJP. That is how they will take revenge for the hurt.

Rahul's speech is very ordinary one; but almost everybody wanted to ask these questions to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Advani wanted to ask; Subramanian Swamy wanted to ask; RSS wanted to ask.  Nobody is coming out for challenging Congress and Rahul for this speech. Everybody is keenly waiting for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's response for Rahul speech. That response would not just be for Rahul; but for everybody.

Subramanian Swamy didn't just discuss the Rafale deal; but, everything of interest. Was it nation's interest; or party interest; or self interest.

Subramanian Swamy had dinner at General VK Singh's residence. Dinner at residence is the highest value of a human relationship. General VK Singh got hurt with Arun Jaitley's comment. So, it is a design of a new conspiracy against Arun Jaitley.

During campaign, Narendra Modi projected Gujarat Model. Perhaps, Narendra Modi could have continued that path. Gujarat Model will not work for India; but it would work for all states. Narendra Modi could have transformed at least five states following the Gujarat model. 

Then, in the next election, Narendra Modi could have projected those five plus Gujarat as his achievement. But the biggest challenge was, which five states? So, that is a missed opportunity.

It is now obvious. Narendra Modi has got deeply hurt by the visa denial. So, Modi was desperate to prove the world that he could visit all countries. All his actions are based on that hurt.

That is the reason; Narendra Modi constantly looking outside for solutions. Never try to understand the domestic problem; strongly believes that solutions are available in other places.

The truth is; solutions are not available in Brazil, China, Russia, United States, Australia, France, Germany or Canada for Indian domestic problems. You need to look inside; within yourself. 

In Parliament or in Twitter, at least ask the question; how much India spent for all Narendra Modi's foreign trip?

What is the priority? Education or fighter air-plane?

India could build rocket for Mars; but not a fighter air-plane to attack Pakistan?

How long do we continue with the fight with Pakistan?

Not just Narendra Modi; anybody would lose the trust.

When you say to each and every girl that you love her so much; no girls would trust you. Likewise, you cannot just go to France and build a wonderful relationship; then go to Germany, you cannot go back to France; the go to Canada, both France, Germany would join hands together as Europe and go against you.

It's okay to have few enemies.  Then only you are a real living human being. Even Mohandas Karamchand had enemies. Let the war continue in Twitter (24 by 7 for 365 days).  Shutdown the Parliament. 

Politicians are ruthless

Jawaharlal Nehru was a politician. This is what any politician would do. This is politics. Politics is not a religious organization. Politicians are not religious leaders. Politics is all about power. Getting power is not an easy thing; more than that retaining it is the most challenging thing.

About Jawaharlal Nehru, it took many decades to see the truth. But, in today's world, just in minutes, people would learn the truth about any politicians in this world.

For Jahwarlal Nehru, the challenges were from Jinna, Rajaji, Patel and Subhas Chandra Bose. So, it is quite natural for Nehru as a politician to prepare for these challenges. Had he not been alert and had he not taken corrective action, Nehru could not have continued as a Prime Minister.

When you are in power, everybody is a challenge. Politics is not about peace of mind. It is full of war at every moment.

Look at Clement Attlee. Mohandas Karamchand had never thought that he would get freedom in his lifetime. Had Clement Attlee not been the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, no way India would have got its freedom. Clement Attlee was a minister in Winston Churchill's cabinet. Clement Attlee quit the cabinet and challenged Winston Churchill. Clement Attlee's knew about Winston Churchill's love about India and used that as a weapon to hit hard on Winston Churchill. It did work.

Winston Churchill won the war; but lost the election.

Look at Sri Lanka. Mahinda Rajapakse was so confident that nobody could challenge him. SriSena was a member in his cabinet; quit and challenged Mahinda; and defeated too.

So, politics is not a child's play. It is a continuos struggle to win and hold on the power. Nobody offers the power to anybody on a silver platter.

BJP Leader Subramanian Swamy Launches Hindutva Outfit

In today's world, Modi is like Jawarlal Nehru; Subramanian Swamy is like Subash Chandra Bose.

Do you think, Modi would give up his power to Subramanian Swamy on a silver platter.

LAB - Land Acquisition Bill. All politicians would offer total and complete co-operation to pass the bill; provided you offer them a deal.

If Prime Minister says that he is all about developing India; he is willing to sacrifice his position to pass this bill; let anyone be the Prime Minister; but let the bill pass.

In no time, the bill would be passed with total and complete co-operation of all MPs.

Even for his new organization, Subramanian Swamy couldn't rely on hindutva philosophy to attract members. Subramanian Swamy has to offer political positions to attract members for his organization. So, Subramanian Swamy promised:

Indicating that the new body will also act as a pressure group on the ruling BJP, he said it would provide a list of candidates to the party for consideration and work closely with the Sangh parivar.

 That is a huge lie. Subramanian Swamy knows it. Subramanian Swamy couldn't get a ticket for himself. Modi and Amit Shah didn't give a ticket to Subramanian Swamy. How could Subramanian Swamy get a ticket for others.

So, this is politics. Watch House of Cards

In general, politicians are ruthless at all times; having or showing no pity or compassion for others.

You cannot blame them; nobody expresses love or compassion to them; then how could they express compassion to others.

Union minister General VK Singh has said his task of overseeing the evacuation of Indians from war-torn Yemen is "less exciting than going to the Pakistan embassy."

General Singh has spent a week in Djibouti supervising dramatic and heroic rescue operations by the Navy, Air Force and Air India. He made the comment while speaking to reporters on Tuesday.

"It is a difficult task, but if you talk of excitement I think it's looking less exciting than going to the Pakistan embassy," the former army chief quipped, raising eyebrows.

Three Stonecutters

A man came across three stonecutters and asked them what they were doing. The first replied, “I am making a living.” The second kept on hammering while he said, “I am doing the best job of stonecutting in the entire county.” The third looked up with a visionary gleam in his eye and said, “I am building a cathedral.”

..that is from Peter Druker. All three do the same work; but their perspectives are different. All three kinds of people are needed for any organization. But you need to assign the right kind of work for the right person. 

For instance, the first kind of person, "I am making a living," kind, is the right person for the post of spokesperson of a political party.

The second kind, "I am the best," kind, is the right person for government executive positions. They are specialists; have special skills; they have expertise skills in their own field. In fact, they are the best.

The third kind, "I am building a cathedral," kind, it the right person for political leadership. They are not here to make their living; they don't have any special skills; but they have general vision with whole perception.

Kamaraj is an example for that kind of political leadership. When government executives wanted to visit abroad to learn about town planning, Kamaraj said, visit Madurai and learn about town planning.

Sushma Swaraj, with her master stroke, brought the Yemen mission to an end. Sushma Swaraj tweeted as:

General V.K.Singh is returning tonight.

Sushma Swaraj is "I am building a cathedral," kind. Sushma has vision with whole perception. Sushma Swaraj has no military skills; no need also. But, Sushma Swaraj could bring a military operation to an end. Look at the tweet; no handle as @Gen_VKSingh Don't want to continue the Yemen episode; want to bring it to an end. Ordered the General to return; ordered to close the embassy. Very clear; very effective.

General VK Singh is "I am the best," kind. It is quite natural for a person, who spends his or her entire life in doing one single job. Highly specialized skill. With his skill, General VK Singh did his best in Yemen.

General VK Singh said, "...some of you may have doubt. Let me tell you. You pack all your doubts and throw them into that ocean...," that is one of the best quotes from General.  Usually, it is a command from a military general to his or her soldiers. 

General VK Singh also said; in looking at camera; from the international ocean; 
"I am not a civilian. I spend my entire life in military. I am a military person. I know military operations; but have no idea about immigration process."

So, the General continues to be a military person; not a civilian. It is hard for anyone to transform from military duty to civil responsibilities.

General VK Singh is an elected Member of Parliament and a minister in the cabinet. But the General said, he is not a civilian. Member of Parliament is a civilian responsibility. So, General VK Singh as a Member of Parliament is a burden to the government.

So, the current government is in a state of total chaos and confusion. To escape from all this chaotic situation, the leaders are engaged in dramatic events and cinematic dialogue delivery.

You don't get Yemen kind of situations on daily basis. All these specialists are needed only for crisis. So, most of the time, they don't get job; get bored; and get involved in creating more chaos and confusions.

With one tweet, Subramanian Swamy caused enough damage to the France military aircraft deal. Together, General VK Singh and Subramanian Swamy would cause more damage to the current government.

Advani's Satyagraha सत्याग्रह

Satya means truth; graha refers to insistence. It is a resistance; passive protest; it means there is a conflict. Like an individual is divided between inner and outer; divided between inner soul and outer action. That division develops conflict. This is a disease of this century.

Non-violence is not an opposite for violence. Non-violence doesn't refer to love. Even love is not an opposite for violence. In fact, there are no opposites. Women is not an opposite to men. Men is men and women is women. Somehow, we developed opposites for every thing.

We look at Sonia and Modi are as opposites; then how do we look at Modi and Advani. In Ayotha days, Modi and Advani were one whole BJP; but now they are divided.

Advani and Modi were considered as Guru and Shishya. This is the truth. So all future Gurus; be careful about your Shishyas. Only Shishyas cause sufferings to their Gurus; nobody else.

If anyone seriously considering about starting a political party; for a moment think about Advani. It is a very good lesson for all future leaders.

So, BJP as an organization, right now, divided into two parts; one is Advani; another is Modi. All the new comers may follow Modi model of going up in the hierarchy. All the old timers may suffer like Advani.

Lord Rama saves Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Right now, Vajpayee may suffer physical pain, because of aging; but escaped from this mental distress.

This is a new model of politics. In olden days, when a leader felt confidence, that leader quit the parent organization and used to start his own organization.

That is what Annadurai did; MGR did. If Modi and Amit Shah were so confident, they could have quit BJP and started a new organization. But this kind of hijacking is new kind of technique. Just like those hijackers, entering into cockpit; ask the pilots to vacate their seats; and hijackers take control of the plane.

Every new technique is being challenged by another person. Subramanian Swamy is conspicuos by absence. Swamy was absent during Obama's visit and Republic day celebration. Now, Swamy is in abroad avoiding the meet in Bangaluru.

Swamy also has no plan to quit; no plan to revive his old organization. Swamy follows the same path of Modi. Modi took it from Advani. Swamy will grab it from Modi.  

Right now, anyone could become a member of BJP, by giving a missed call. When you walk around the vegetable market in Mylapore, a few may ask you to join in BJP, by giving missed call. It is like MLM, multi level marketing.

In MLM, all the new comers would strengthen the position of the old veterans. But, in BJP missed call model, the new comers would challenge the veterans.

You cannot walk into a communist office and become a member. It's not that easy. When you walk in, they would talk to you and explain you about their philosophy and sacrifices that you may need to make. Then they give you a few books.

All those traditional party workers dedicate their life for the political party. In their home, they have the picture of Stalin, Lenin, Karl Marx. It is like a marriage; for some, it is more than a marriage.

In Amit Shah and Modi corporation, people join; just like flirting or dating; no serious commitment. All these accumulation of garbage may pollute the entire organization.

With his silence and satyagraha, Advani effectively made others to talk.

Some how, this achievement had been pushed back in the media. The media is busy in going after the free speech of Giriraj Singh

A few weeks ago, it was VK Singh's free speech about getting disgusted after the celebration at Pakistan house. Now, Giriraj Singh's free speech about...can't mention here.

If Giriraj Singh could make a few more free speeches, then VK Singh may have to bring people home from United States too.

The Indian government is in a more confused state. The Prime Minister has one objective; the Home Minister has an other objective; all other have different objective.

Instead of Management by Objective, the government of India is now Management by Confusion and Chaos.

The Prime Minister is all about economic development; very focussed. The Prime Minister strongly believes that wealth could solve all human problems.

Poverty unites people. Wealth divides people.

Look at our family. We were all united when we didn't have bank accounts.

Narendra Modi is like a business CEO; like Steve Jobs; Bill Gates. Narendra Modi could build a strong global business enterprise.

So far, Narendra Modi has not demonstrated any political leadership qualities.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh objective is to ban leather export from India. It is a social objective. Social objectives are in conflict with economic objectives.

If there is no beef; no tourism; no leather industry; no make in India.

China welcomes this social objective. All leather goods; shoes; coats; India tells the world; go to China for all your leather needs.

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. Firing Sujatha Singh as a foreign secretary is the right decision. India doesn't need two female foreign secretaries. Right now, Sushma Swaraj position is like a foreign secretary.

Narendra Modi enjoys visiting foreign nations. In fact, Narendra Modi projects a very good image about India in foreign nations. It is an image only; not the realities.

So, Narendra Modi is very suitable for Foreign Minister position.
