Bhagwant Mann, MP from Punjab, last week used satire to critique Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's budget, dwelling on the "Achche Din (good days)" slogan used by the ruling BJP during its election campaign.
In a bright yellow turban, he repeatedly asked when good times would arrive, what with fuel prices and railway fares going up.
His jokes spared none. "The Congress has achieved the impossible feat of securing fewer seats than Delhi's soaring summer temperature," he said.
The 42-year-old became a household name as part of a comedy-based reality show. This year, he won the Lok Sabha polls from Sangrur with a record margin of two lakh votes.

अच्छे दिन आ गए हैं
Yes. For India, good days have come.
Wonderful parliamentarians like you; that shows that good days have already come for India.
Bhagwant Mann, your speeches are excellent and very effective.
It shows that before you go to the parliament,
you have done a lot of home work, notes and preparations.
543 is just a number of seats in the parliament.
But, Bhagwant Mann goes beyond these numbers.
Already you have generated a lot of hope in the democracy institution.
And you are not delivering a boring address like the one was delivered by the President in the parliament. Your speeches are very interesting. Even other parliamentarians listen to you with interest and enthusiasm.
Outside the parliament, you have fans growing day by day.
Even from far south, people from Madurai are listening to you.
As a parliamentarian, you make policy decisions for the entire nation.
So, when you get time, go around the country and learn about the whole India.
Yes. अच्छे दिन आ गए हैं
