Facebook is the Legislative Branch

https://twitter.com/pmoindia

Facebook is the
new Legislative Branch of Democracy.

In any democracy, there are three branches.

  • Legislative Branch
  • Judicial Branch
  • Executive Branch
Fortunately, the Judicial Branch in all flavors of democracy has been functioning effectively. Whether it is American or British or Indian, the Judicial Branch is independent and effective.

In Judicial Branch, there are no Democrats judges; no Republican judges; no BJP judges; no Indian National Congress judges.

So, no immediate threat for the Judicial Branch of Democracy.

Executive Branch. It is effective only in United States Constitution. The President of USA has the stability for eight years. In fact, you could save some money, if you have Presidential election once in eight years. By default, every occupant stays in White House for eight years.

The British Prime Minister, Iraq Prime Minister, Pakistan Prime Minister and Indian Prime Minister; all have stability issue. The Constitution doesn't provide the stability. But still, no body wants to challenge the Prime Minister. It is lot of responsibility without any authority. No body wants that job; so the Prime Ministers enjoy their five years term.

So, no immediate threat for the Executive Branch of Democracy.

But, the Legislative Branch is in deep trouble.

It is the same situation in all democracy. Whether it is Washington or Delhi or London or Bagdad. The Legislative Branch is not functioning effectively.

Do you recently see any Senator has introduced any law effectively in Congress. All Senators want to become the President of USA.

The same goes true in Delhi. All MPs want to become the cabinet minister.

To motivate their party volunteers, the BJP party asks their ministers to go to the party office every day. They didn't ask their MPs to visit the office; only the ministers.

If you work hard, one day, you will become the cabinet minister. It is like Amway. Even the winning party, have no consideration for their MP.

Volunteers from any party may look at Amit Shah; and they will learn their lesson. It is only one life; it is not worth it to give it away for any political organization.

In today's world, the business organizations give fat salary; perks; all facilities; but, still the employees complain and leave for a better positions. So, there will be no volunteers for any political organizations. You give assurance of the post of state chief minister or union cabinet minister; then they will join.

A few decades ago, there were no communication tools available; so, political leaders have to depend on party executives to promote their image; and to canvass for vote.

Now, social network tools are available almost for free. All these social network replace the political organization.

Any one could become the President or the Prime Minister. All they need to do is, hire a Internet Marketing team. In fact, India is now emerging a good source for all democratic process.

So, campaign for American Presidential election; out source it to India. You will get billions of 'likes'; they need not be citizen of your country; but they will effectively campaign for you.

All these responsible citizens of your nation; they are very active and effective almost on all days. They could make expert comments on all subjects; whether it is energy, or defense or foreign affairs. Too much of intelligence are out there.

So, Facebook is your Congress.
Facebook is the legislative branch of United States of America.

Facebook is clear about their policy. Facebook is not an i18n; no internationalization; no localization.

Facebook is all about personalization.

So, Facebook, breaks all virtual boundaries created by political maps.

Facebook policy is not "we the people"

Facebook policy is, "We, the human beings of Planet Earth."

So, whether you like it or not; Facebook is disruptive innovation; it disrupts USA, London, India too.

So, Facebook is Indian Parliament.
Facebook is the legislative branch of India.

Facebook disrupts all political organizations in all country.

All responsible citizens of India will have policy discussion in Facebook.

Whoever meets with Narendra Modi, used to meet Rajnath Singh.

Somehow, Senator McCain and Facebook executive couldn't meet Rajnath Singh.
