Fake Governors of India

Governors of states of India

The governors and lieutenant-governors of the states and union territories of India have similar powers and functions at the state level as that of the President of India at Union level. Governors exist in the states while lieutenant-governors exist in union territories and in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The governor acts as the nominal head whereas the real power lies in the hand of the chief ministers of the states and the chief minister's Council of Ministers.

The Constitution vests in the governor all the executive powers of the state government. The governor appoints the chief minister, who enjoys the support of the majority in the Vidhan Sabha. The governor also appoints the other members of the Council of Ministers and distributes portfolios to them on the advice of the chief minister.

The Council of Ministers remain in power during the 'pleasure' of the governor, but in the real sense it means the pleasure of the Vidhan Sabha. As long as the majority in the Vidhan Sabha supports the government, the Council of Ministers cannot be dismissed.

The governor appoints the chief minister of a state. He/she also appoints the Advocate General and the chairman and members of the State Public Service Commission. The president consults the governor in the appointment of judges of the High Courts and the governor appoints the judges of the District Courts. All administrations are carried on his name.

In addition to the monthly salary of Rs. One Lakh rupees, the governor is entitled to rent free official residence, free household facilities and conveyance. The governor and his family are provided with free medical attendance, accommodation and treatment for life.

Governor lives in Raj Bhavan with a set of administrative, security and medical professionals. The estimated cost to maintain these kind of ceremonial posts; which has no real power; who knows? who cares; it is just a burden on the common man tax money.

These are the reasons, people try to avoid paying tax to the government.

These governor's issue is a conflict between Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh.

All these governors meet with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi; not meeting with Rajnath Singh.

Narendra Modi is working on the national interest;
Rajnath Singh is working on the BJP interest.

Narendra Modi gets his energy from the people of the nation directly;
Rajnath Singh gets his energy from the party organization.

Narendra Modi has already emerging as people leader;
Rajnath Singh remains as the leader of a political party.

Narendra Modi is working on developing the nation;
Rajnath Singh is working on developing the political party.

You could develop any political party, by distributing powerful or powerless positions to its leaders.

Kushboo clearly said; it cannot be one-way. Political leaders do expect positions in return; otherwise, they quit.

Rajnath Singh has to distribute Governor position to his regional branch leaders. When Shiela Dikshit could become the Governor of Kerala; Yeddyuraappa could become the Governor of Tamilnadu.

That is the best way to resolve the Kaveri river conflict.

So, these Governor issue is not a conflict on policy between Congress and BJP.
It is a conflict on power between Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh.

So, foreign media, you may wonder; why does the Governors of States need to go home, for a new Prime Minister.

In US, for Barack Obama, there is no need for the state governors to go home.
But, here in India, all these fake governors have to go;
fresh new comers would occupy these fake positions.

In British India, Governor General and Provincial Governors were real and effective executives.
In Independence India, there are several fake positions.
That is the reason, governments in India couldn't perform effectively.

It is time; Narendra Modi could take these tough decisions.
Other regional leaders would co-operate with Narendra Modi to bring about these kind of transformations.
But, Rajnath Singh, Lal Kishan Advani would not support Narendra Modi.

It is the time for media to take a fresh look at all these current issues.
Media, all issues have been there for many decades.
So, you need to look at all these issues from its birth till now.

Truth is a movement; you need to look at the whole movement; not just a frame.
