Let Rajapaksa family rule for two more decades

Let Mahinda Rajapaksa continue to be the Executive President of Sri Lanka. Let Mahinda serve the nation for third term; and then his family rule for two more decades.

Already Mahinda Rajapaksa had been the President for a decade; let them rule for two more decades; in total, let the people of Sri Lanka undergo the pain and suffering for three decades.

People in the north had been suffering for three decades. Rest of the people didn't understand their sufferings. Now, with Mahinda Rajapaksa presidency, the rest of the people understand the need for freedom and basic human rights.

This is not enough. Let all people of Sri Lanka suffer for two more decades. Then they would realize the sufferings of the people of the north.

These Rajapaksa brothers invest the entire tax money on two things. One is military; other is on monks.

They need military to control the people in the north and the east.

They need monks to control the people in the rest of the country.

Youth have only two options in Sri Lanka. Either they could become a monk; or become a soldier.

Both investment consumes huge wealth from tax payers money; but absolutely no return on this investment.

Let the status quo in Sri Lanka continue.

Because the new common candidate Maithripala Sirisena is in a state of confusion.

Maithripala Sirisena said; he will eliminate the Executive Presidency in 100 days; and make Ranil  Wickramasinghe the Prime Minister.

This statement is not clear; in fact, it contradicts; then what will Maithripala Sirisena would do.

Will Maithripala Sirisena be the Health Minister in Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe's cabinet.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is a known person; the whole world knows about Mahinda Rajapaksa; it is better to go with known leader rather than with an unknown  Maithripala Sirisena.

More over, Maithripala Sirisena is not standing on his own strength; there are more people at the background.

Maithripala Sirisena would be the Manmohan Singh and Chandrika Kumaratunga will be Sonia Gandhi.

The political problems of Sri Lanka are:

  • all citizens pay equal taxes
  • so, all citizens are equal
  • if, all citizens are not equal, then it doesn't matter, whether it is President X or Y
  • delegate power to the Provincial Council and local governments
Executive President is not a problem. Empower the citizens of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is not a small country as Singapore; you cannot effectively govern Sri Lanka with a centralized power with the Executive President.

Let the Executive President take care of business outside with the international community.

Let the Provincial Council manage the daily affairs of the local people.
